Inspirations for Your Bali Itinerary

TWENTY places you should include on your itinerary for your upcoming Bali escape!
As this post is going to be long, let’s get started now.

1. ONEEIGHTY – Uluwatu

This place is quite similar to those epic photos that you could find on desktop wallpapers or postcards. Tranquil blue Indian ocean would definitely refresh your weary mind and soul. Morever, be prepared for some extra legwork to go down to this pristine beach.

Tamblingan Lake is located in Buleleng regency. The area is surrounded by forests and mountains that make its weather colder than any other regions in Bali. There, you would witness a breathtaking ancient scenery with its magical mists that you could see with your bare eyes during the dawn.

Amongst several mountains in Bali, we should say that Mount Batur is the friendliest one for amateur hikers like us. Our way to the summit took around one hour and forty minutes. However, if your group is likely to do many stops and breaks during the hike, we recommend you to start earlier so that you would not miss the golden hour.

This is the place where you could take photos on swings, bird cage as well as ‘boat’ with the exotic background of Tamblingan Lake. For some of you who always wondered where those photos were taken, Wanagiri Village is the answer. It is very recommended for you to come earlier before the afternoon to avoid the long queue. Well, you are not the only one who wants to post cool photos at this place on Instagram 😉

6. SKY BAR – Nusa Dua

The Sky Bar is the perfect place to wind down after a day of exploring Bali, lounging at the beach or to simply enjoy the sundown spectrum accompanied by light music and the perfect beachfront view. Every Saturday and Sunday afternoon (5 PM) they have live performances to soothe your weekend.

7. PUJA MANDALA – Nusa Dua

Indonesia is a diverse country with five religions which are Islam, Christianity, Catholic, Hinduism and Buddhism. Puja Mandala is a prove that we all are united in peace and harmony and respecting each other. In this place, you could find all of those five worship places within one complex.

8. LA JOYA BIU BIU – Uluwatu

This place is heaven. You could enjoy a 180 degrees of ocean view, relax in their infinity swimming-pool, dine in the thatched restaurant or discover the Secret Beach. They also have twelve hotel rooms, each with a private garden, 11 Bungalows & 1 Ocean view Cliff Top Bungalow. Entry fee applies.

This place sells the best pizza on the island with its funky and edgy ambience. The pizza markers were flown directly from Naples, Italy, the city where pizzas were originally from! Their ‘5 Cheese’ pizza is crazy.

12. LA BRISA – Canggu

As we have always predicted that Canggu would be the next must visit region in Bali after Seminyak. La Brisa is the newest beach club in the neighbourhood and opened by the same owners that brought Bali favorites La Plancha, La Favela, La Sicilia and La Laguna to the island. The place is so wonderful, especially during the sunset with Bali’s famous cotton-candy skies.

Just like Provence has its well known lavender field, Bali also has this stunning field full of marigolds. Take a drive between Kintamani and Bedugul and you can see vibrant marigolds growing in fields alongside the road.

Talking about waterfalls, Bali has so many gorgeous hidden waterfalls. It is always best to travel with a local guide that would tell you these hidden gems on the island. One of the pristine waterfalls in Bali is this twin waterfall or Banyumala waterfall. It is called ‘twin’ due to the two parallel waterfalls. The location is close to Wanagiri Village and Tamblingan Lake.
