It was a very busy schedule for us when we had to spend our weekdays working in one city and then be in the other city on the weekend for another work. Business travellers are used to this kind of situation, for sure. It is totally normal that we are so tempted to steal time during our business trip so that we could have a little leisure time too. Luckily, we found out that it is possible no matter how tight your schedule is! It all depends on the accommodation you choose.
During one of our craziest weeks when we had to be back to Bali after residing in Jakarta for awhile, we chose a hotel which we never visited before. The name “Atanaya Hotel” has been quite familiar for us as we often passed it by on Sunset Road. Although the hotel was not that big, we found so many good reviews about it. Moreover, as we thought that we would be super busy during the day and only needed a place for sleep, we gave it a go.
Surprisingly, it turns out that it was not a bad experience at all!
Atanaya Hotel is an inspired Peranakan design hotel which always be the choice for business travellers to stay. It has 109 rooms, 5 meeting rooms, a restaurant, coffee & pastry and, most importantly, a cool rooftop pool! Next to the hotel is the famous Krisna souvenir store, perfect for your last-minute go to place for buying gifts.
We booked their Deluxe Room for the weekend and we found the room was neat. It was a normal 21sqm room which had everything a hotel room normally has, air conditioning, safety box, refrigerator, tea and coffee maker, work desk, slippers, hairdryer and of course, free wifi. The building featured an elevator as well as a convenient spacious staircase for guests who choose a healthy lifestyle.
The location was superb! It was located on Sunset Road, 25 minutes away from the airport and Kuta, 15 minutes away from Seminyak and easy-access to Bali Mandara highway. The hotel also provides drop-off service shuttle for guests who want to go to Sunset Road, Seminyak and Legian. Additionally, we were also impressed with the services! The staff were so polite and warm. Not all hotels in Bali, no matter how many stars they have, could master this one important basic thing.
Every Friday they always have a BBQ event at thier rooftop pool. The price is very reasonable for an all-you-can-eat barbecue party under the starry Kuta night with the view of the busy Sunset Road. We do not find anything to dislike from this hotel.
Easy booking, warm guest handling, a very reasonable room rate, complete facilities, strategic location and its rooftop pool. Atanaya Hotel is definitely perfect for you who would love to have both business and leisure trip.
